I finally got the right size tubes after going twice to Metal Supermarkets. Bought too big around on the square tubes the first time.
They cut some plates along with the tubes for me. Then went back, I welded and drilled out the holes to mount them.
After that, I began work on the wheel well area that is all butchered up. I made record time separating it from the body compared to what speed I was used to working on it at.
After seeing what metal prices are at where I bought the metal for the brackets, there is no way I could have built this cheaper for what I paid for it. A year and a half ago, I would say yes.
