Today, I took my engine out of the storage and hung it on the stand. So glad it has a place now that it can be open to work on.

I have had most of the car parts in storage for quite a while.
I just recently aquired a work area for it. Now I will be getting the rotisserie in a few weeks and start in on the body work. One step at a time.

Glad to see you finally getting this under way, be sure to have that digital camera with you at all times during the resto, it will be fun to watch your progress. That elephant looks cool sitting there just waiting to be brought back to life.  :cooldancing:

Getting the dutchman panel pulled and the trunk floor areas are ready to weld in now. Won't be long now till I hit full swing on the work on it.

I have to do the same thing on my chally. Do you have any pictures of the dutchman panel before replacement?  Did you get the goodmark panel?

Here are some more pics for you for when you get ready to do yours.

The panel had a lot of spot welds where it is connected to the speaker shelf. About one every inch it seemed.
I ended up cutting the panel off right where it meets and used the wonder bar to persuade it off. (Was rusty anyway)

The trunk floor frame rails have been coated with rust bullet. I wanted to do more work than this today but I ran out of cutting wheels with no stores open today.
You'll need your trunk floors out if you want to have access to some of the spot welds underneath. If you lightly grind away the paint/rust where the spot welds are, they will show up better to where to drill out. Hope these help you out.

Next week, I plan to go after the quarter panel.
