It still needs to be massaged into place a little. Where it butts up to the quarter, it looks like it is sticking out a little too much.
On a scale of one to ten I'd give it a 7 or 8.

Today I opened up my new Miller welder and bought the gas for it too. I also bought some other goodies for it also. See that wire in the box? Thats some pretty new stuff on the market that won't burn through.

Tomorrow, I'm putting it altogether. I still need to buy a cart, extension cord, and some of those vice grips that you use for body work.  I'm stoked.  :ylsuper:

Nice setup. I bet I could get that wire to burn through. Build your own cart that will give you some practice.

Cool, thats a pretty good price. I got a Miller cart with mine but I wish that it had some provisions for wraping the cords up. The guy that sold me my welder told me not to wrap the gun cord to tight or you will kink the inner linner making it junk.  :2thumbs:

I bought the extension cord today for it. 20 feet long from Home Depot. Wow has Copper gone up. But I already knew it would be.
I fired it up and did a few welds with it. Then the Sun went down and closed up my outside shop.

It's(copper) actually come down quite a bit from last summer!  I can't wait to see the welds either, maybe you'll convince me to buy a better welder.

You gotta start somewhere, the way I looked at it was nothin a couple of extra hours of grinding wont fix, I'm still not great, but have improved some! keep playing on scrap metal, you'll get the hang of it! Rich.
