That driveshaft looks great!

"Friends", sometimes they ARE awesome and sometimes THEY THINK they are awesome. Some "Friends" of mine thought it would be neat to add all the racing stickers they could find to the sides of a 73 RR I was starting to work on.  Thank goodness it was before the bodywork began.

Hey TC, what's been going on? I haven't checked back for a while and the last thing you worked on was the shaft. Did you get the shaft or what? LOL, hope all is well, lets see an update!  :grinyes:

All my parts needed to rebuild the Hemi are bought except valve springs. I'll get them right about the time it goes to dyno. Payments now till machine work is done. Staying away from the credit cards now since rates went way up. I'm shooting for the end of summer to get it all paid off. Hopefully.

Currently, getting the front end brakes, suspension and steering done. Painting, cleaning sorting, and getting some new stuff here and there. I have almost everything new already for the front end re-build.

Plan is to put completed engine on assembled suspension. Then onto a rolling cradle for future install.

Hi Eric,

Long time no see.

Well I went from making money and not enough time to having enough time and not making money. So now I gotta find stuff to do.

I primered the K member yesterday. I have a lot of hours into it. Too many. I beefed up welds all over it and smoothed them out. Then leaded a few small dents. Pics on it later this week once I shoot it.

Got sun burned pretty bad yesterday working on it. It's really a hot work area I have.

I used Bill Hirsch Under Chassis Black. Reduced it a little. It actually comes out pretty glossy as you can tell. But seems to be pretty good workable paint. Didn't tend to run and sprayed real well.

I built a tri pod that should be sturdy enough now to mount all the steering and suspension and the engine onto the K member. After building the tri pod, I ran over to Home Depot and grabbed 3 electrical junction box plates and welded them to the bottom on the feet. there are 2 holes right in front of the mounts. the welded bolts go thru these. I'm certain this is what the factory must've used when they mounted the major assemblies into the body.

Next is to go over to Harbor Freight this week and buy a moving dolly. Secure it onto that and then I'll have a engine cradle ready to drop the body on the completed assemblies.
