this guy has the most amazing rotiss, and its about 1200 plus, but its worth it, and if hes drives near your area, free delivery, to your door!!!
Ill never buy another brand of rotiss, its that good.

Your driver's side door mirror, center mounting hole must be factory original.  Mine looked the same way.

Thanks. Yes it is the original door. Now I know that the two holes with each other is correct. I've always wondered if it was some type of factory issue.

Right now I am rummaging thru all my bagged hardware collection sorting everything out for the body.

Caulked the interior today. Used 3M all purpose body sealant. It stays flexible and won't shrink. I decided against going to Home Depot and buying a bucket of Henrys water proof roof and seam sealer. Most of that stuff is only rated to 120 degrees.

    Trying to recover my original dual exhausr plate back into presentable shape. Getting a little body work practice in even if I decide not to end up using it. Not quite done yet with body work. Keeping it as a spare and to compare against the repro that's already on.

Its really looking good. Coming together real nice.  I tried to straighten out my rear valence also, but lost patience with it and got nowhere. So i purchased a new one with exhaust cutouts

I bought that valence OEM back in the late 80's. theres still a sticker spot on it that paint didn't stick on. 

Over the years it got beat on like a red headed step child. Backed into and tow'd by some numb skull. I'd like to make it worthy of keeping but I am loosing hope.

Its amazing where people have towed vehicles from . I think somone must have used the radiator support on the fron of my car to either tow with or ran over a big dog backwards.

No bondo on bare metal unless it is All-METAL or duraglass first, then bondo on top of that. I know you have a new one, but that one looks like a keeper too.

A few days of sanding and now the trunk area and trunk lid are ready.

More body work. This is the front lower valence I did today.
It had a couple of minor dings in it.

Anybody wanna come by that's good at body work?
The lower valence looks like it'll come out pretty good.
It's the rest of my car I would like to talk about.

Great work Mike!

Take your time on the body work, work one section at a time and use the longest sanding block you can on straight panels.  Tape the body lines to keep them sharp and sand in a cross hatched pattern and count your strokes such as 5 strokes left to right from the 4 o-clock to 10 and then 5 strokes right to left from the 8 to 2.  Once you get it close use a guide coat to spot the high and low spots.
