It's really starting to get close for paint. If I had 10 days straight 8 hours everyday I would probably get it ready for the booth.

I dunno. It'll be ready when its ready. No way to say until you can't find anything left to do.

Today I did another skin coat on the drivers side and primered again. Just little tiny spots left now on drivers  side to work on.

Here's whats left to get done:
Fix lower corner curve on rear glass so trim rides tight.
Skin coat roof one more time and block
Skin coat trunk lid one more time and block.
Find out why trunk lid seems to have a slight tilt and correct.
Evercoat Featherfill primer the bodyline to thicken it up then block.
Slight bow in left hood corner to tweak. (It's not very bad though)

Lastly, Have a total block party...everything. 180, 220, 320, 400, 600.

Got rid of that ugly hack job hole once and for all.

Finish it up this week end and that ends grinding on the body.

Come on over any Saturday. I'm not far from your shop.

Still chuggin away after doing this now almost a year at it every week-end.
No pics for a while until I get the blocking underway.
My painter will be coming over soon to discuss our game plan.

Hey Mike,
When you make it to Salinas let me know if you need a hand, or someone to show up with two kids in tow and a wife that wonders why the hell she is there, let me know. I'd be glad to help in any way I can.

At the 320 block phase now on the drivers side.

Re skinned the roof one more time. Let it sit a week and then block it again. Letting the bodywork sit a week and re going over it again makes it much better I found out.

At this phase, is when I will be doing the nit picking small spots and sealing. Not many. Then re blocking.

Drivers door is close. Quarter panel will never be as crisp as what the factory did.
The body line just doesn't stand out as well as what the factory did.

looking good there Mike  :2thumbs:    just a side note...  after blocking I raised the back of the door a 2-3 mm`s.  when all parts are back in the door it will have the correct height and you won`t damage paint around the hinge bolts from adjusting.
looking forward to see the car in color.... did you decide on the color yet?
