Mike, I've got a blue interior in my car. I like it, but I have to say its A LOT of blue. If you're set up for a black interior already, I'd consider just doing the seats in blue. If you wanted, you could do the dash in blue too, to tie into that paint on to the lower dash. But I'd be inclined to leave the carpet, headliner, door panels and filler pieces black. I know, not exactly stock, but trust me when I say its A LOT of blue.

Here's an all blue chally interior (not mine). This one seems to have two tone blue seats, I think normally they're all the outside color (mine are).

I wonder what that would look like with an argent shaker and argent tail panel.

Pretty damn nice, I'd think.

mike, what kind of wheels will you use?

Haven't decided yet Dutch if I want to go OEM Dana 60 width on Rallyes or go 2" shortened and after market wheels.

white door panels and seats would be less work and less money. Still thinking about white also.

Yeah that would work! My EL5 Dart Gt was pretty much that way from the factory, white seats, black carpet and headliner, white armrests. It would totally work with the blue too. I think I'd be a little concerned about keeping the door panels white, but that's just because I use mine as a daily.

3 heavy coats of clear are safely dry now to start the wet sand/buffing.
The color is actually much lighter. The camera doesn't get the hue right.

All I can say is this car will be like a blue mirror when its done.
The shop guys say its one of their best, most favorite projects they've done this year.

Have fun removing the buffing compound...it gets everywhere.  I'm sure the bodyshop will clean a lot of it up but I think you'll be finding it in weird places as you put the car back together.  I want to see a good picture of it out in the California sun.

I saw a tip of putting a strip of tape over the body seams to keep it out of tight places.

Looks amazing!!

Hey TC .... just checked in on your project .... its been a while.   That colour just looks so right on your car.   I too have been 5 years in my restoration.   Almost there ...... just trying to get enough nerve to try the cut and buff on mine.  Mine was painted almost a year ago and has been sitting in my garage getting all the pieces back on.   Down to wiring and seats.   It is definitely a journey.    You must be pretty excited about getting it rolling!

Cheers ..... CHAPS

The shop needed to make some real bucks over the last month from Insurance work.
Thus the delay in getting it home.

The paint is done being wet sanded and buffed.
Just need the tail panel painted Organosol and a few minor items to do and she's coming home.

I saw it Saturday and I just about died!   :faint:
OMG! I can't believe how nice it is now. Just unbelievable!
