    Ouch, but glad no human injuries!

    Any photos of the "setup" for lowering the car over the engine??  I might try that instead of lowering the engine into the car.

    Holy moly!  Terrible news.  Glad the damage isn't too bad.  I would hate to see this project delayed!!!

    After Christmas, I should have the engine in. So it'll be early next year I fire it up.

    Bob, Owen, and Ryan helped me out today.  :2thumbs:

    We also installed the Torsion bars.
    Back at it tomorrow.

    How did you lift the engine up, or did you set the car down on it then use the hoist to pull it up?

    Just a Cherry picker with a chain. Having it the distance away allows you to sway the front end left or right a little in case clearance becomes an issue. There was never a need to lift the engine up to the frame.

    The K frame was resting on 2 sections of 4 x 4 wood sections nailed onto the moving dolly.
    The moving dolly of wood I bought at Harbor Freight.

    I used alot of wheels under the dolly just like a 747/C5A jetliner does to disperse the weight. 
    A Hemi weighs more so it was likely needed to make moving easier.

    Remeber to notch the plates that bolt onto the frame so the K member will clear when it comes time to bolting it up.
