Are you planning on putting the billboard on yourself or are you going to have a shop do it?

Mom and Chuck (my step father who passed away) bought the car in 72' from Normandin Chrysler Plymouth in March of 72'

Mom drove it quite often since my step father didn't fit in it being so tall.
In 78' they were tired of it and knew I wanted it. It became my graduation present.

Very Cool! Is this an original restoration, Hemi car, shaker etc... ? Like your Mom tooled around town in a Hemi?  :cooldancing:

No.

Tawny gold Gran Coupe. 2 tag.

In 78' out of High School, I wanted a Cuda and so I began changing it.
My friend's Mustang was beating my 318 car and I wanted to whip his a$$.

I couldn't stand the beige interior. Or the Tawny gold. So I began a transformation.
In 79' I joined the Army. In 81' I returned from overseas duty.
While on PCS (post transfer) I drove the car to Ft. Campbell.

That is when I put in a 340 and a A/T.
When I ETS'd from the Army, I drove it home.

A year later, I had it in my barn where I rented and transformed it to a 4 speed after the A/T burnt out.
A few years later, I had it painted Imron black.
This was happening when the movie Phantasm was debuting.
Plate frame said..."No this is not a Dream"

It was like that until about 98' when I moved to Grass Valley.
Never drove it much during then.

Relationship went sour in 2000. I had the car completely apart in a shop.
So I put all the parts in a rent a storage, put the car on moving dolly wheels and let it sit in a field for almost 3 years.

Finally towed it home and it sat again for a few more years.
Money was tough days for me for along time back then.

Been at it for along time. Almost everything new or re-furbished.
i don't think there is one part on it I haven't worked on in the entire car.

That's a labour of love Mike and it looks like you're about to enjoy the fruit of that labour. Great history and a honey of a car. I'd love to hear it running! Ian
