Are console and rear armrest ashtrays the same?
« on: October 25, 2006 - 01:37:01 PM »
Need a new ashtray for my console and am wondering it these are the same part as the armrest-mounted ash trays that I've seen in the rear side panels of some Challengers.

Thanks as always.

dunno about that but our 66 4-door Polara had a rear armrest ash trays that to the best of my recollection  were the same as my 73 Challey's console, Might be worth checking out some old

Yes, I own both a Cuda with a console and an RTSE with rear ash trays and I recently had all three rechromed. They appear to be identical including the frames.

They pop up on E-Bay once in a while. That's where I got mine. They aren't that expensive. I think I paid 20-something.  :clueless:

Cool. That means I have more ebay targets.

I especially like the c-body idea.

For some reason... as soon as you say "'Cuda" or "Challenger" the price goes up. :-)

It is kind of funny that I have to explain to my kids what a cigarette lighter and ashtray are for in my cuda...it is a different world now a days...lol

Not like Mom's car where it is labeled as the "power outlet" for the Ipod and cell phone and the ash tray is for spare change.
