Bob loaded the car up about an hour ago (7am).  He will be back in FL sometime tonight.  I should have gotten pics of it on the trailer, but it was still dark out.  I am sure he will have an update and more pics  when he gets home.

Sorry about the late update, but I've been busy drooling over my new car.... :droolingbounce: :droolingbounce: :droolingbounce:

We got home Saturday night about 9pm, after a 13 & 1/2 hour drive.  My expedition got a whopping 10 mpg while towing it, so it took more time to stop and fuel than expected.

Special thanks to Bill for making a smooth transition.  We were able to get there on Friday night, take it for a test drive (in the rain unfortunately) and then pick it up Saturday morning at 6:30am.  I didn't take any pics (I forgot my camera at home) but I'll get some pics of her once I wash it, it got pretty dirty from the trip home.

I got it registered today and here in FL, they want to see the car to verify the VIN, so I brought it down to them and atleast 5 people gave me the thumbs up or talked to me at a red light....and that was only 10 miles from my house!!   We also got thumbs up and beeping horns the whole way home and every time we stopped for gas, someone inquired about the car.  Needless to say, it's been a great 2 days with her thus far!!  :jumping: :jumping:  Probably the most comments I get is the sound of the motor (sounds like a cement mixer when idling....glug, glug.....glug.... :naughty:).

I'll be looking for advice on what year 440 block to get b/c that is the next thing I am working on; building a bigger motor to drop in it.  I'll check in the other sections of c-c.com.

:roflsmiley:  That is what my post was going to say....Dude yer distributor is in the wrong place. And no matter what anyone boasts about. A 68-71 440 is the most desired blocks. They made the grade in the muscle car debut. And 450 hp in a very mild 440 is super easy and made to cruise in on pump gas. No aluminum heads and through the manifolds and stock exhaust. Nothing is funner then a stock looking bb running in the high 12's effortlessly. And also, 15k for a body was a bit too much, good luck on yer new toy.....

'Preciate the info, so you're saying the distributor needs turning?  Interesting...and we agreed on a price lower than the asking price, so I think all in all we both made some sacrafices (sp?) and walked away happy.  Remember, it's not the deal you get, it's the deal you think you got  :naughty:.
