!!! need Help soon (again) Brake line part ???
« on: October 25, 2006 - 04:21:47 PM »
Can anyone tell me the correct name (and where I can get one) of the front brake part that is bolted to the same bracket that holds the "brakehold off valve" and the "warning sensor valve".
The part I need has a "button" switch and brake lines to it. My car is a '70 Challenger with front power discs. It is leaking and it's currently in a shop.
They're not sure what it is/does either. HELP !!

 :feedback:

Thanks !!

Depending upon when your car was built, you would have the metering valve and a safety switch with the prop valve farther down on the frame rail or the metering valve and a combo safety switch/prop valve.

this article shows the inards of the swith, looks like a couple of o-rings would fix leak, probably the same for prop. valve.  :dunno:

decided to replace the whole combination set-up with a modern replacement.
Has anyone done this update on their car?

I have a '70 with the '72 model proportioning valve on it.  It works fine.
