Shoulda woulda coulda.Should I trade?
« on: October 25, 2006 - 07:32:13 PM »
A guy wants to trade me his 69 Roadrunner,383hp numbers,a/t,a/c,b5,build sheet, fender tag car for my 73 chally plus 2000 bucks.HIs car is not worth the 11k he was asking as it needs total resto but is solid with no rust and is complete.I am on the fence,i do want a B body, was looking more for a superbee and this RR poped up.I like RR's too just not as much as Bee's,but they are harder to find.Numbers Engine and tranny were taken out,he says they ran good and do come with the car.Its not in the driver condition my chally is but it needs work as well.Any opinions?

Would the $2000 finish the Road Runner or do something else you need to do? If you sold your Challenger outright would you get more for it than you would for the Road Runner with the $2000 put into it?  Would you be better to sell the Challenger outright and go get a Bbody? In the end it is your decision.  These are questions I would ask myself while trying to make the decision.

NO.  Keep the Challenger.  Best ebody ever made!  :stirpot:  :poopoke:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Good questions, the other good question is how do i find a Bee numbers car with no rust that isnt a fortune?A guy wants to come buy my chally for 9k this weekend from 4 hours away. Can i find a nice str8 Bee for 11k??(the 9k plus the 2k i was going to give the RR guy)whatcha think?I am more apt to look for my dream a Bee(if the guy buys my chally)than settle for a RR :dunno: :clueless:

Sounds like you might not be able to get the Bee you want without parting with the Challenger.  Keep the Cuda though.  You have to have 1 Ebody!!! :2thumbs:

Personnally I would only consider a road runner with a 4 speed. BUt its not a bad car. Any pics of yours to help with comparison?

Tough choice, the RR would be a very nice car to have.  I think I would be leaning toward the 69 but then I miss my 68 b body...

...my thought, the 68 RR is probably going to be a higher $$$ car in the future than a 73 Challenger and it is considered a Muscle MOPAR more than a 73 E-Body....even if it takes longer to put it on the street, it looks like a very desireable piece...I am not a fan of B-Bodys in particular, but I would really consider the trade, or sell yours and purchase, which ever works out best...

...bottom line, do what you like and you will always be happy with the car....don't  ever buy cars you don't like

It is up to you, but I would keep the Challenger.
