Send me some pics of the inner fender Mike, maybe I can give you some advice on that one. The shop I'm sending you to can fix anything bent but it may be cheaper to buy a replacement, there's a pair of NOS ones on ebay right now but they are spendy.

Thanks everyone, scott ill get you those pictures. i dont need anything NOS or that much, i have my wiring in the inner fenders anyway so any holes will be welded up and such

And the car looks like it will be down for some time. But come back with the 360, new brakes, suspension, subframes, etc, etc

Sorry to hear about the car, Mike, but glad to hear you're alright. After all, the car's body can be fixed easily... your own, not so easily.

Glad to hear your okay!
Might a good idea for everyone to check out there cars and see what needs replacing though, brake parts and hoses don't last forever.

So Mike,

Where in Florida is your family going to call home?  From what I read above, it sounds like the Tampa area.  There are a number of us down here who would enjoy the opportunity to welcome you to the Sunshine State.

On to the original thread, the positive side is that the car can be repaired and no one was injured.  Additionally, it seems your brake failure came at a more opportune time than if you were on the highway and had to stop VERY quickly!  That's the good thing about this accident, we know you will attend to all of the repairs, not just the body stuff, and that Goody's Cuda won't have any problems with braking in the future.

Good luck with the car, and good luck with the move.

Thanks all, we will be moving to the lake mary area. central fl. And from what I've been told it should cost about 3-4k to fix just the damage and repaint whats needed if I can get some parts donated.. And that likely the insurance will try to total it leaving the tab all on me.  :crying: Given that part of the door, the inner fender, the fender, and the front valance needs to be repainted. i'll likely just get the whole thing repainted ($$$) plus all the improvements to the suspension and such....

its gonna be awhile guys.  :walkaway:

You may be lucky. They totaled my '74 with 3800 of damage (in '90 dollars). But my '70 I told them I will do anything to avoid the salvage mark on the car's title. The guy worked with me on it, and both of us were happy with the result, at least as much as could be expected.
