If the insurance co trys to total it out, do some research online at kelly blue book and NADA for values on your car, also check local papers, auto trader, and hemmings for sale prices. Contest it and provide this information to them if they want to total it out, I had success doing this with AAA when they wanted to total my 70 a while ago.....Hopefully it won't come to that.
70 Cuda, 7.0L Gen-III Hemi, Viper T56 w/9310 gearset, 3.91's, Megasquirt MS3x v3.57, Innovate wideband, Firm Feel upper arms, torsion bars, springs and strut rods, QA1 DA shocks. I did everything on this car except the fancy paint stuff and I drive it...and I can't seem to stop messing with it....

Sorry to hear about what happened. I have the entire K-frame and front suspension from my '74 Barracuda sitting around w/ disc brakes and sway bar, but does need to be refurbished. (I went with the Alterkation set up.) I also have a pale yellow driver's side '72-4 fender in great shape that I really don't want to part with incase something like this happens to me, but may be persuaded on karma grounds. Kinda far however, up in NYC.

Thanks for the offer, i dont think I need the complete k-frame. I have the UCA, i need a lower. If your interested in selling that fender and would be willing to pack it up. Gimme a holler. I know how it is to have parts for 'just incase' so i understand.

I'll snap some photos of the fender this weekend. It's in great shape but the inner brace down the side (between the wheel well and door) was removed to put in my '70 fender that's on the car now. Judging by the photo of your car, I would say the brace on your fender is salvagable.

I'll have to think this over and a price. If anyone came knocking, it would be for nothing less than $500, but for a CCC member... maybe $250 or $300.

It just burns me that I paid $350 + shipping for a completely rusted and unusable fender, then $400 + shipping for a different fender "with a little body work" that turned out to have a sh!t ton of bondo packed into a huge dent. I guess I just have to get that out of my head and think that this good fender could go to a good cause.

Brendan

Oh just remembered, I also have the front valence panel. Also pale yellow, no dents but plenty of little dings.

Totally a bummer, it wasn't even a month ago I was just reading about your ride in the mopar mag.

Did you figure out what caused the brake failure?  :working:
