Thank you guys for posting some new pics!!  I have also been looking at both these last two sets of wheels for my 'cuda.  These new pics really help!!  I was also thinking of painting the Vintage wheel works black.  So far they are my first choice.   I may also consider those big rallye wheels...    Really cool to see good pics of both.  Any opinions..?

OK, I could not resist any longer.  Here is my G-machine.  I will try and find the picture of it cornering at Road America in Atlanta back when the previous owner had it.  Almost have the interior done and will post those pics soon.

Moparbulldog - Where'd you get the short spoiler?  I've seen the T/A twin spoilers, but none like that.  Looks good!

That spoiler looks like an MAS product.  Are those wheels Vintage wheel works wheels on your car 70RT/SE ?    I think I'm staying with the 15" minilites. I believe these are the wheels on Dans AAR back in the day.  I have thought about 17's for the improved performance. Unfortunately they only come in 15x8.

The MAS spoiler is wider. I've had one under my Challenger. Scroll my avatar over to see it.

Team 3 makes a Mini-lite replica wheels that are more authentic than Vintage Wheel works. They have them up to 17x11 which would be perfect for those Viper sized 335/35 tires.

Thanks for the comment.  I have got that question alot and I do not have the answer as it was put on by the previous owner.  When I have tried to call him for questions on that and I have not got a call back.  My thought is that the guy either got something like the old Camaro ones, or made one that he liked.

I agree on the Camaro thought.  I have thought that myself. From what I've found the 67-68 looks more adaptable than a 69 since the front valance of a 69 Camaro is more pointed. For $35 it's worth a shot. Seeing that one and the one HP2 has puts me in a struggle. I agree with HP2 the Team 3 wheel is more accurate, but both look great.

Just to add to your confusion, American Racing also makes a version called the Silverstone. http://americanracing.com/wheels/wheels.asp?section=V

They are offering them through their custom shop. This allows you to specify backspacing on any of the sizes they offered. I seem to recall they were around $250 each, which is a decent price and were availble in a variety of widths from 7 to 12 inches in 15" diameters. Team 3 wheels are around $375 in 15 and 17" diameters, and the real Minilites can be more than that depending on how you spec them out. The real Minilites offer an off the shelf package of trans am replica wheels in 15x8, but they can do custom three piece moduler set up in a variety if widths and diameters in either aluminum or magnesium if you really want to drop some $$.

I think Panasport is also offering a similar wheel as well, but I don't recall what info I had on them.

I was quoted 850.00 shipped to my door complete for the minilites in 15x8 Anthracite w/polished lip. I have to look at the Team 3 wheels yet. I'd like 17's. Thanks for the info. :grinyes:

Thanks again, and you can not got wrong with black.  Only draw back here in Cali is the heat, but I can deal with that in this car.  Hope you are as happy as I am with the color.
