After giving it a good bath we laid out the stripe kit.

After rechecking the jams for any compound we marked the edges of the backing paper for reference with dry erase marker and rechecked how straight they look. It is hard to see for sure if it is straight or not with the backing paper not cut straight. One trick is to cut the door handle out first.

We started with the door stripe and then the front and finishing with the rear. After peeling the backing we used the wet method to apply them.
After they are laid on we squeegeed out the water and used a heat gun to dry them and then pulled the backing.

Here it is done and out side for another picture. I think it came out pretty well. No bubbles and straight.
Stripes are nerve racking to install but make a big improvement when done.
If anyone is doing stripes I hope this helps.

That looks great!!  :2thumbs: Putting side stripes on $ucks.  :eek4: Especially between the front of the door and fender. Ugga-Bugga.  :pullinghair:  I'm glad you didn't have any air-bubbles like I did.  :worshippy

I said it before, and I'll say it again: I wish I had just the tiniest bit of your knowledge/experience/talent. That's the color/stripe combo that mine is supposed to be. Keep the updates coming!
