I will get some pics of the trunk and cowl.  The trunk is rusted out-period.  The cowl has a few small rust holes, but they look like the type where the rest of it might be thin too.  I'd replace that if it were me.  There is no radiator, and I have no idea at all where the original engine might be.  It was apparently pulled in the early to mid 70's.  The fender tag is on the car, fairly badly rusted.  But, you can see a fair number of the codes, and the sequence number too.  Yes, the sequence number matches both the dash vin and the broadcast sheet.

As per some requests I've received, I found the radiator core support and cowl serial number stampings.  Not hard to find once you know where to look-I've never seen those before.  I also snapped a few pictures of the dashboard vin tag, and that turned out to be by far the hardest to get a decent picture of.  Of the 5 or so I took, only one turned out to be halfway legible.  The windshield has some sort of internal fog inside it down there, making it necessary to jam the camera between the dashboard and windshield inside, then electronically flip the picture upside down after loading it on the computer.  Here are the pics:

Here are pictures of the rusted trunk area, the rusted rear framerails, and the wheels.  The frame is terribly rusted for a short distance at the back, then the rust seems to go away.

Here is a shot of the fendertag.  It's in terrible condition, but some codes can be read.  The serial number is also (barely) legible.

Oops-the board cropped that one.  Here's one I cropped so it should include all of the sequence number.

In case anyone was holding off, the member who was about to buy the car had to let it go for personal reasons, not related to the car itself.

Gosh Neil, It's hard to believe an Alabama car has that much rust, they must of washed the car in ajax or something. What a terrible waste to let such a great car get that bad. Were lucky you found it.  I guess that phone call you had when I was talkin to ya fell through yesterday afternoon? Just bring the dana over to me today and I will have yer 1000 bucks in hand when you get here   I know I know, but it dont hurt to try.... :roflsmiley: I thought about selling my black challenger bb last night to dedicate more time to my 70 purple 6pk 4 spd cuda, but I am not sure I could part with anything else I got. I love driving that challenger.  The stick car will run in a few months anways. I should have found your challenger in that field tho.  :horse:  The extra dash pad you have, is it a/c or non a/c? I got this perfect non a/c black pad with 3 speakers and I need an a/c pad to keep the air in the black challenger. I got the back seat recovered and going to sell a complete pistol grip set up this week to get the front covers and carpet for it if I find a buyer for the grip and linkage.  If you dont make it over today, thats ok I see we got rain. Good luck on yor sale...ALAN

"THE BOSS IS CUTTIN' LOOSE HIS COLLECTION! "  What a bunch of crap!  :pullinghair:  How long did the "Boss" have it?

I said it before and I'll say it again... this car will be rebodied.  So sad.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.
