There is something about having a cool car with the same ol coloration that you see everyday, and then there is the dare to be different. Chip Falls in the dare to be different and set yourself apart from everyone else crowd.

Much props for trying something no one else has done before.
I might have used a darker hue, but I applaud the risk.
I would rather have something that was different.

I can't wait to see the episode.
It keeps me motivated, and I am GLAD some has done a 72-74 car, and tweaked it out successfully.

My wife and I checked in on the progress of the car every day. A.J. asked my wife which version she preferred and she chose #4. A.J. was nice and gave us some shirts and hats on Tuesday morning. Didn't see Chip until Friday. Talked to Charlie at the Dupont booth along with Boyd and JO. Was surprised to see them together. Could Charlie be going back to Boyd's?...probably not. Wasn't about to ask. Charlie was great to talk to though.
Was hoping that they would do something radical with the grille area, but it didn't happen. I had ideas, but figured they wouldn't be interested. I'll just wait and try them on one of my customer's cars.
Overall the car looked great, but we didn't get to stay long enough Friday to see the finished product.
I also agree that I would rather build the car myself, but this way the car is famous.
Goody, let us know if you and/or you're dad are going to do the Power Tour next year. We could meet up. I think that they're going to try to group the Mopars together more in '07. We plan to rob the Coddingtons off of my cuda and put them on my wife's FI cuda and make the last leg of the tour. Wish we had time to do the whole thing.
Congrats to your dad on the car. We enjoyed seeing it being built.

Here's the updated Schedule I recieved.

Dear Industry Professional:

Set your Tivo for Tuesday, Dec. 5, 8-10 p.m., as The Learning Channel (TLC) kicks off two hours of SEMA programming. With host Steve Watson featuring highlights and interviews from the Show floor, TLC will celebrate the industry's great products, personalities and technology with "SEMA - The World's Greatest Car Show" at 8 p.m.

Then at 9, it's a one-hour Overhaulin', featuring Chip Foose and his crew building their third annual SEMA Show project.

The two-hour block repeats later that evening at midnight. For more SEMA coverage, visit TLC's website at www.turbo.com.

Sincerely,

Peter MacGillivray
SEMA VP, Marketing and Communications
