Just watched the show... AWESOME!  Had to tape it last night and watch it today.  You did a great job in front of the camera Mike.  Calm cool and collective.  I don't think I could be that smooth.   The car looks great!  I bet your dad, (and you for that matter)  can't wait to get it back.  Congrats, and let us know when you get to drive it!  :2thumbs:

Mike,

What a week you must have endured.  I bet your dad was  :stomp: and   :pullinghair:.  I would be willing to bet you didn't spend much time at home that week. I know I wouldn't have because it wasn't fun to be around my dad when I ended up doing something stupid that highly irritated him.  I also know that I would have said something that would have let the cat out of the bag.

My dad isn't a gearhead and doesn't have any loyalty to a specific brand.  I, however, have seen the light and only drive cars/trucks from mother Mopar.  It must be really cool having a relationship with your dad that, in one respect, has a Mopar in the middle of it.

Hope you get your Cuda up and running soon so you two can go to car shows together - with father and son rides.

Congratulations!!!!!

fantum

P.S.  Welcome to Florida.  Hope to meet you at a car show sometime.
Mike

Mike, Just wanted to say that you did well on camera. I still get nervous just talking to those guys, although I get a little more comfortable each time I talk to them. A.J. was easy to talk to. Her and my wife got along real well. She seems down to earth. She gave me a t-shirt on Monday when there weren't too many people around. I noticed that my wife still gets a little giggly around Chris Jacobs. Wonder why?
Any chance of getting a vid of the car posted once you guys get it back?

I saw the Lance Armstrong car at a show in Houston a year ago and there's no way that they did all of that body work in basically 5 days or less and not have any shrinkage showing through that black paint. I'm telling you that car was flawless at that show. That car most definitely had to have been re-shot after they taped the show. I've been doing restos for too many years and I know how body work that is done too quickly can bite you. My cars sit for at least a month before final sand. I've heard several people mention that they don't get their cars back right away. I've always wondered if they were being redone before delivery.

They body doesnt get touched after the show, everything regarding driveability and everything working as it should 100% is messed with. We're 'waiting on a parking brake cable' to work with the baer rear discs.  :pullinghair: :eek4:

Their order of importance seems to be a little  :screwy:. They fix one thing at a time it seems, they order parts one task at a time too.  :blah: But yea, we're gettin the run around a little  :bricks1:

Mike, Seems like just yesterday that they were building the car. We were there for quite a while on Monday. Was much easier to talk to everyone without all of the big crowds. Was easier to get the freebies as well.  AJ gave me a t-shirt.

I wonder if they'll do it again next year. We were there in 2004, but missed 2005. Hope to be there again this year.

Let us know when the car gets back.
