Good idea!! Let's do them with the Cuda Challenger.com silk screened on them.

Is there enough interest? Anyone in the silkscreen business?

Hey TC, I missed this when you posted it, that is pretty neat, sure hope this turns into a major deal for you. You can sink some major loot into that Hemi Cuda of yours.

Auto Zone and Advance Auto are requesting quotes from us now. That covers 7,000 stores with just them alone. CSK is my next target to speak with.

It will be a long time IF they even make it into stores. I need to develop a distribution network now between our manufacturing and their distribution warehouses before we sit down with them to give quotes. Companies like Federated Warehouse will need to be dealt with now. This will be a monumental task.

So how can i get one?  :dunno:

I like the idea of keeping the sun off of the vinyl top. :jumping:

Also with black leather interior and no A/C this would be great.  :ylsuper:

Not to mention covering a pair of '70 only chromed sport mirrors that I'd hate to lose in a parking lot. :swear:

If anyone is interested in getting one, I would like you to e-mail me at my work e-mail. When you e-mail me make sure that you put in your avatar name in the subject and write i cover next to it.

mike@apolloelectrical.com

Robert, (the designer and owner)  or I will get back to you.

We are also looking for retailers interested in stocking this product at their store(s)

Anyone that is involved in the automotive parts distribution or warehouse system, I would be very interested in talking with you also.

The Military has just contacted me and would like to have me present a sample to them of it. They have taken a keen interest of it. Primarily to block windshield glare and sandstorm glass damage from occuring.

They are $30.00 retail. What should I quote them at based on a 10,000 order you think?

Well Done TC, glad to hear a business like yours working out.

Just a question if I may, why would people buy a half car cover when they can protect the car with a full car cover for the same cost if not less? I don't quite get why you need just the top? I'm asking this without sounding mean or "jealous" of course, just curious is all.  :) Also, do you foresee it being hard to compete against full car covers?

I hear what you are saying NZ. We have gone over this question a lot. It is more of a sunshade than it is a car cover. Application for Military would be to stop reflective glare of windshields from over head aircraft, protect sensitive equipment and glass from sandstorm damage, reduce heat build up of vehicle interior. We may be able to market these for 10 bucks or less once a big order is put in.

Auto Expressions just requested a quote of 10,000+ last week.

I see TC, sounds ideal for them and rag tops. How long roughly does it take to put on the car?
My YO car cover takes me, oh, a solid 1 minute without running around like a madman, cruise time.

Congrats on the sales order, that indeed is fantastic news.
I'd be over the moon if my company was filling orders of that size! :woohoo:

I have been timed at getting one on a Corolla in about 30 seconds. Realistically 40-45 seconds is average time to install. Our gameplan with the Military is to have it remove in 10-20 seconds. That is when I think it could be useful in the field.
You're right, they would be perfect for 'verts when parked outside for short time spans. Basically, its a car cover/sunshade for when you are away from home.

It'll be a long time if and when we shake hands and make a deal with Auto Expressions or Military
