:iagree:  completelySnap on guys are giving you a socket for warranty that they already "paid" for, that's why the are slow to warranty especially to someone that has not bought $10,000 worth of tools from him that year.. The craftsman guy is a store salesman that just turns the broken tool in and has not put any of his money up front.
That works fine as long as you have a bunch of back up tools to finish your job till you get the broken one replaced. :)


That's what stops me from buying Snap-on.  I dealt with a real bugger of a guy.  Bought a couple thousand in tools(not much really) broke a couple things and the guy gave me a hard time about it.  I ended up selling the sets to someone else who worked in a Service garage and he never hed a problem even though he bought less tools from the guy than me.  Anyways I've had good luck w/Husky and Craftsman tools for home use and in Work I use Klein Tools and Greenlee. :2cents:
