SEM Paints
« on: November 02, 2006 - 04:37:06 PM »
Time to start thinking about repainting my door panels on my 70 Chally.  It has a white interior but I don't know which SEM paint is correct.  I'm following the Rev-It-Up four step process - 39362 soap, 38353 prep, 39863 promoter but don't know the paint color.  Any help would be appreciated.  Don't want to screw up after all the prep work!
Thanks  :clueless:

I used regular dish soap and washed the panels twice. I only used the prep spray on panels that were armour alled in the past. I used the black sem spray and it worked great.

I have the color chart, which is better than looking at it on a computer monitor.   I would say you need  #15603 SailCloth white, or #15313 white. Here is where I bought it from. It might be worth the $1.00 just for peace of mind.

What would you recomend for a black interior...all the plastic needs to be re dyed.  I am looking for original look as per the color.  can you tell from your chart?

thanks

I'm not sure if the colors are different between Cuda's and Challengers -- and I hate to offer something different from MEK who knows a lot more than I -- but I've re-done both my white interiors in my '70 and '74 (the '74 is very original) and the SEM #103 Super White was a perfect match.   Again - perhaps the Cuda's are different.     I agree with the Landeau Black and preparation of the surface is very important.
