Possible car for CudaGuy?
« on: November 04, 2006 - 07:48:09 AM »
We need some honest answers here.  I don't want to spend all of your money without a good consensus and everyone feeling like we can pull it off.  So, what are your thoughts on this car?  The auction ends in 3 days, so we need some quick answers.

I voted yes for building or finding one but not this one, I believe it's too modified and may need a lot more parts and work than what we could buy one for in better more original condition. If we are going to do this we should do it so at the very least it's a very good start for CG, maybe even get him one that needs an engine or whatever and then support him finding the parts he would need to complete it. I believe that's what he'd like to do anyway when it comes right down to it.
If we keep a weather eye out for one and all the forum memebers who are involved with this really put out their feelers, we should find one within a reasonable time for a reasonable price.  :2cents:

:eek7: Sorry Rev, I didn't read it correctly when I voted, probably should change mine to no if you can to keep this the way you intended.

Although I was the one who suggested it at first, I didn't look into it too well. After reading some posts and taking into consideration what everyone else has been saying, we may bite off more than we can chew with this one if we get it.  Now that I know we have a 440 and a 4spd that have been dontated to us, we shold search for a body that's in decent shape and not all cut up.

Though a pretty sweet car could be made out of this one, I think it'd take a lot more effort to turn it into something Don would expect out of his car.  It'd be great if there was more money to put into it, but then a more unmolested car would be the better solution overall.

It looks like that is the concensus.  Let's keep looking around.

It's in Ohio. At least we can get at it to do any work. I wouldn't think this would go high, maybe this is it??  :dunno:

Guys, it looks pretty rough but Gnadenhutten, Ohio is like 7 mile from my front door. But I won't be able to take the time to look until after the weekend. Pam's dad passed away last weekend and the funeral is this Thursday and I want to be with her, it's hit her pretty hard.

4 days to go...Already in Ohio close to Fishn's shop. Sounds like this has potential. How high do you think this will go?  Do we need to start another poll?
