Perhaps someone like fishin4cuda if possible should go look at this car. From looking at the pic a bit closer I think I went to look at it about two years ago. If it is the same car, it belonged to a "member" here who was the one to attempt to bring the car back. Since that time it has been sold and resold about three times and it still looks the same as I remember it. ROUGH...........some of the repairs are sheetmetal but not replacement panels, some were revivited, not welded. There is no truck lid because it litterally rusted off the hinges, this will not be a 9 month project unless a crew could spend every single day working on it, or if foose got a hold of it with his buddies and conections. This car sold initally for $500.00 if it is indeed the same car, in fact I told Jesse (ole Beam) about this car, I offered to buy it and give it to him plus some cash for a Demon he knew about, but...................  I'm almost positive this is the same car.

Speaking of Foose, by chance did Goody speak to him about becoming involved with us on this project? Boy, the opportunity was there with the connection of the Sema show............?

Which car are you talking about?  The one in orlando or NM?  If it's Orlando, I live right in orlando as well and would be able to go take more pics if the other member can't get to it.

I believe WSM is talking about the one in Ohio...I do remember seeing it now that he mentions it.  We would have to have a huge number of people committing to spend some time in Ohio to do our own overhaulin.

I asked Goody to drop in a good word for us if he had a chance, but I know it would have been hard to find the time.  After hearing about all the taxes you have to pay, I don't know if after buying a cuda, we could afford the taxes!

I'm in Ohio as well,  3 hrs. or so from Fishn or WSM ( just have to point the car in a different direction ).  Count me in for some manual labor if we go for the Ohio Cuda.

Is the SEMA show in Las Vegas? If so, Topcat is there. I'll give him a call, he could sell snow to the eskimos.

I hope WSM can look at it this weekend. I'm not able to get away. Auction doesn't end until Sat or Sun. I also have added up some prices for steel to take into consideration at my cost.
Frame rails $179 ea
trunk floor $69 per half
Qtrs $165 ea
3/4 floor pans 125 ea
extra pan behind seats $89 ea
Outer wheel house $159 ea
trunk floor Ext $95 ea
Trunk lid $299 (or I may have a very nice one to donate)
So, in total, just for steel we may be looking at $2061 additional cost.
This is in asumption that the car we are considering needs all of the above. I may be able to get the steel cheaper if I order enough at one time.
Cant kill the mean and ugly. Only the good die young...I plan to be here a while!!

I didn't know the SEMA show is over,  :eek7:  Topcat said it was an awesome event.

As far as the car goes, I still think we need to try for one that's missing a few less parts or at least a bit more original. Even if it's a rolling chassis, that would be a great start, I believe with so many folks on here willing to help, we could come up with most of the parts from members.  :2cents:

If it makes looking any easier, I have a 360 with a 727 attached to it I could throw in.  It'll probably need freshened up, but if there's a decent Cuda w/o drivetrain cheap........

This one says they will accept a reasonable offer and end the auction early.

Looks like it's quite complete but need to find out more about it.

Yeah, that's one I mentioed a little earlier....looks like a good find if we could pick it up for cheap $$$.

here's another one that may be worth looking into:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1974-CUDA-not-1970-1971-1972-or-1973_W0QQitemZ280047029879QQihZ018QQcategoryZ6409QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

A little rusty, but it's located in OH......I don't think we're gonna find anything 'good' for the amount of money that we have.  We may have to get the best thing that we can get with the $$$.
