Numbers Matching 70 Challenger SE Before it goes to Ebay
« on: November 06, 2006 - 07:57:51 AM »
I have a 1970 Challenger SE that has the original 383. I am the third owner of this southern rust free car. I bought it form a gentleman who bought it from original owners in alabama and spent 6 years doing a frame on restoration that came out gorgeous. It was an SE car although he replaced the small window with a standard one ( i still have the old one) and there is no vinyl top. He also added a hood scoop which although not original to the car was done professionally and compliments this car well. He basically got about 90% done and lost interest. I bought the car and have done the following. New Torq Thrust 2 wheels and tires ( he had weld racing wheels on it). I do have 3 of the original rallys I had the original front and rear bumpers rechromed. I had the original front seats recovered with the correct Se material and new foams...( not cheap as you know!) This car is in amazing condition and is extremely original other than the things i mentioned. I have plenty of pictures I can email you and encourage you to come see it if you are local. I do have the orginal data plate tag for the car..it was originally blue but is now Red with black interior.
The car sounds, drives and looks fantastic. I am not selling this car cheap but am also not looking for crazy Barrett Jackson money either. I will listen to offers...I am a newbie as far as mopars go so I will let the Mopar enthusiasts tell me what they feel it is worth. Please email or call me for pics and more info. Thanks. I am a little North of Atlanta, GA.
