« on: November 06, 2006 - 08:51:50 PM »
I wanted to get a set of gear drives, as I am replacing my camshaft.. I was told some cams come with a one hole or a 3 hole where the top timing gear would attach. what are the difference for??

3 bolt is used on more agressive cam profiles where the spring load is increased , personally wherever possible I order cams with 3 bolt

if I have a 1 hole cam, if I decide to grab a 3 hole, would the only change I would have to make is to get a 3 hole timing gear? everything else is the same?

Correct.  Hemis and 440 6paks came with 3 bolt cam gears but any B engine can use them providing there is a cam profile you like that is offered with the choice.
