Yep, it's time to move the 'cuda out. Just other life stuff has gotten in the way.
Many of you have seen the pictures of the restoration. The car was stripped, blasted, put on the rotisserie, all bad metal replaced, done to the nine's, etc. Every inch of the car has been hit with either DP50 or Zero Rust and Gator Guard. Any rust spots, even small pits, were cut out and replaced. Once the welding was done, metal bumping was used to get the panels close. We were really conscious to keep the filler to a minimum...NO thick layers of filler on this car! Even the patch panel seams were ground and bumped as smooth as possible meaning that we had to use very little filler. The car is currently in K-36 primer and needs to be blocked straight prior to paint. Trunk and engine bay are blocked and ready to shoot. Car is a vinyl top car and roof work is done.
I have most all the parts needed to put the car back together. Plan on a suspension rebuild. I have both a power steering and manual steering setup. The car was a non-AC car. I was going to install an aftermarket A/C setup, so I don't have a heater box. I do have a set of ralley gauges and all of the major interior pieces. Seats are solid but will need covers.
Car comes with date-correct (not numbers matching) 340 steel crank motor, 904 trans, and 8 3/4 rear. Motor was a fresh rebuild by previous owner and never fired. I would dissasemble, clean, check clearances, and reassemble.
All parts are bagged and tagged. I even have a master inventory list.
This car is ideal for someone wanting a project car, wanting to do a lot of the work, but doesn't want to do a lot of body work! Everyone who sees the car is impressed. I've done the hard parts...I just need to let the car go for life reasons. I do have a local guy interested in finishing the body work and shooting color. I don't have a bid from him as of yet.
I'm asking $11K but will consider reasonable offers. I'm in Orlando.
Email me if you are interested and we'll set up a time to talk on the phone.
