Question
« on: November 07, 2006 - 05:28:35 PM »
I've got a question, but here's some history first. I was showing this site to a friend and logged in on his computer with my username and password. Well, a few weeks later he went here and automatically got access as me. He thinks that his computer somehow memorized my account information. Is this possible and is this a big deal?

When you logged in on your buddies PC, the drop down menu box next to the log-in was set on default which is "FOREVER".  So everytime he would go to cc.com, the PC would remember the login information and he would have access as you.  Big deal . . . I think so.  I would ask him to log you out on his computer and log in with his own username.  It will erase/reset if he cleans his internet cookies too.  Hope this helps.

You can see you should never use your password for anything on someone elses computer.  Even if they wouldn't do you harm they could have a spybot that would or another friend (that also uses their computer) that would.  We have been forced into an untrusting world.
