Nu-Bee
« on: November 07, 2006 - 09:08:07 PM »
Hello to all I just joined the site and I am glad I found this place.
My name is Ben, I have a wonderful patient wife, and a 10 yr old daughter (my real boss)

I have 2  - 70 Challengers
One is in my garage and I am working on it now. I have a 68 440 at the machine shop now getting ready for the build.
The other one is in the driveway waiting for its turn.
I have attached a couple of shots of the one I am working on now. The carport photos are where I bought the car the day I picked it up. There are a couple of shots of it in my (single car garage , read cramped) with some progress.
I have not taken pics in a while, I have done a lot more since these photos.
Trunk is almost done, Dutchman panel is in, lower qrtrs done etc.
I bought a wrecked 73 R/T that I got a lot of parts off of for this car. (Disc brakes, spindles etc, Sway bars and gear etc.)

I have been a Mopar fan for a long time and lucky enough over the years to own:  (in this order)
73 Charger
68 Dart
70 Duster
70 R/T Challenger 340
70 R/T SE Challenger
I sold the R/T SE in 97 and have not had a "fun" car since then.
I scored these 2 Challengers last year when I moved here to Richmond VA

anyway I am looking forward to getting to know everyone here and I will get more photos posted of my progress as I go.
I want this car on the road by April at the latest.
I am in the music retail business and on the road a lot so between the family and work it is tough spending as much time onthe cars as I would like but it is getting there.
all for now more pics this weekend

Regards
Ben

Welcome Ben, So you are right down interstate 95 from myself and Mekrunner. Hopefully, the car is done in time for Carlisle and we can cruise up together.

Thanks , I am still undecided. Originally it is a sub-lime car so that is one, I also am leaning to Plum-Crazy, or Hemi-Orange, or maybe just good old Black.

I dunno yet  :-\
