First Post, '73 Barracuda Resto.
« on: November 09, 2006 - 07:12:29 PM »
I've been lurking around for a while now and figured I'd post up a few pics of my cousin's '73 Barracuda we have been working on for a few years now.  First off a little about it.  We bought it off the original owner about 5 years ago.  The car is fully documented.  I have the broadcast sheet, dealer info, warranty paperwork, everything.  It's kind of an odd combination.  It has all of the options a real Cuda would have with the exception of the engine, original 318 car.  It has buckets/console with slapstick shifter, power disc brakes, A/C, Rally Dash, and even originally had the white stripe down the side even though it had been removed and painted over some time ago.  Traces of it were still evident once we disassembled it.  We stripped it down to nothing and mounted it on a rotisserie to repair all of the sheetmetal damage, and there was a significant amount of rot that needed to be repaired.  New quarters, right floors, trunk floors & drop offs were installed.  The frame rails were rotted out and repaired also.  The bodywork on it was done by my cousin over about a year and half.  I painted it just 2 weeks ago and it came out awesome compared to what it looked like when we got it.  Right now it's in the very slow process of color sanding and buffing.  Once all that is done, it will be reassembled.  Here are some pics below, before and now.  There will be a link to about 60 pics of it at the end.

Edit:  Forgot to add the link with the rest of the pics, 69 total:

Ask and ye shall receive!!!
These are the ones I have done and am working on.  3 Chevelles and a 69 Charger.  I also have a 70 Chevelle convertible that is inline for restoration after the Charger is done.
