Current list of Possible Cars for CudaGuy
« on: November 10, 2006 - 11:54:14 AM »
In an attempt to keep the list of cars we're looking at centralized and to not allow any to slip through the cracks, I'm posting all of the links here for everyone to look at.  If you find more, please post on this thread and I will update this list.  If we find we can remove a car we feel is inadequate, let me know and I'll remove it from our "current possibilities" list.  If you happen to live close enough to go and check out any of these cars, that would be a huge bonus for us!  Please continue to give your opinions about each of the cars.  Together, we'll get the best one for our situation.

Rev,
Should be leave it up to someone (1 person) to contact some of these to see if they will let their cars go b4 the end of auctions, and for how much?  Maybe even tell them the story to see if they will help us out a bit?

I've sent an email to #2...still no response.  I don't want to send an email without some good feedback from all of you.  If you feel any other one in particular is worth an email to the owners, please voice your opinion.  As for me, #1 and #3 seem like we would be biting off more than we can chew.  As for #7, I don't know how much more it would cost us to ship it to Ohio so we can work on it.

Just a quick look, but I think 2 and 3 look like they're the most solid.

Good idea Rev.  Keeping everything centralized might help.

The guy with car #7 mentioned he would accept offers. The auction is closed and it didn't sell, maybe he'd take 3K for it. Looks pretty solid from what I can see in the pics judging from the engine compartment but would need to look into it further. I believe there are members down that way too. Maybe shipping would turn into an issue.  :dunno:

Anyone in Sacramento willing to check it out for us?  Shipping will be a bear though...at least 800 we don't have right now. :dunno:

Depending on the condition and price, $800.00 on top of 3 or 4K is a lot less than some of the others we are considering. Just hope we can find one reasonable that is just about all there. We'll keep looking!  :2thumbs:

If we can get a good car for the money we have, I'll kick in $100 toward shipping. Grab it before some bill or other comes along  ;D

Just a quick FYI...I checked into shipping my car from VA to FL, 825 miles, and the lowest quote I got was 500 bucks.....it's' not a covered trailer, but this thing isn't a pearl anyhow, so we may be able to get a good quote.  Can someone get me the zip codes of where it's located to where it's going and I'll start the foot work on shipping, just to look into it.

I believe Fishn's zip code is 45844 in Fort Jennings OH.  I don't know what the zip in Sacremento is.
