:iagree:  The work needed is a set back, but the price would be within the ball park provided the car can end up getting a title re-issued and everything shows up legit for it. :2thumbs:

I've been watching this car for some time now..http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=003&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=130052641195&rd=1,1

It does have quarter panel rust, but the rails and floors look to be extremely solid.  Kinda reminds me of my '73 Challenger with how solid it appears and it's only about half an hour from where I found mine.

I'm sure the price will go up towards the end of the auction, but for a '70 it may still fall within the price range. :dunno:

Ok, I've gotten no response from the 2 that I called about two weeks ago.  The one guy said he would send me pics snail mail and never did.  Oh well.

I did find another car, a 73 up in Maine for $4500.00.  I just got off the phone with him and he is going to send me pic, via snail mail though, UGH!  What is it with these people who don't have email????  At any rate, he said the car is pretty solid, he owns his own body shop so he had it media blasted and it looks like it will need a new trunk floor and 2 quarters.  Not too sure which ones, but he said the pics will explain.  He says it's in nice shape as far as the frame and stuff.  It's got a 318/2 with a 904 trani in it.  Drive shaft is there and everything else.

Sounds decent, but we'll see if I ever get the pics and maybe one of our members up near Bangor Maine can help us out and go look at it?

Rev,
I've got more pics of another car.  Seems ok, it's all apart, but the body seems in good shape.  Shall I send them to you to post?  Did you get a chance to post the other pics I sent?

No, I haven't posted them yet...sorry.  You can post the new ones here if you have them on your computer.  I still need to get Red to scan those other ones for us.

What is the amount we can spend at this point? Is there help paying for this from anywhere else? Reason I ask is I know about a 73 that's drivable, can't remember all the details but it's not finished yet. It has a running, numbers matching 340 in it that's newly built and runs strong. The car has extra parts, 2 Cuda hoods, I believe 2 grills, very little rust. Has the ralley dash, auto slapstick, can't remember about the headliner. A very solid real Cuda for 9K. For those who were going to donate engines, trans etc, maybe they could sell to ad to the pot instead of donating, just some ideas.  :dunno:
Can get pictures if this is one to consider.

Not to be a downer, but I think 9k is a far stretch for cc.com right now, considering we're only at 4500.  As someone mentioned b4, we have to consider transportation cost and other small things like that, that are not included in the price of the car.

:iagree:  We should get Defbobs Cuda before someone else does.  Cuda Guy even said it looked like a good project.  If we are going to have a car done by Carlisle, it seems like we need to get started soon. :working:

inot2old, I saw that last night. I think we should get it before cudaguy gets it, LOL. I think it would be very possible to get it running and the rust issues to a point where he could get a great solid car that needs to be finished up. A total restoration would be un-doable, but to take care of just the rust, get it running good, and get a start on interior would give him a ride that he could finish up over the course of a year or two. Then the support doesn't have to stop after he gets the car. If anyone has a part he needs, well throw it his way.
