1971 Challenger for Sale - Price Reduced Again - SOLD!!!
« on: November 10, 2006 - 07:22:41 PM »
Anyone got spring fever??? . This is my last price cut. Surely it's worth $4500.

Thanks, Mike

I originally purchased this car to use as a parts car for another project, but I “never got around to it”. I really don’t have the time or energy to part it out, and I really hate to since it is an almost complete car. I would like to sell it as is. The only things missing – that I know of – are the belt moldings on the front fenders, and the chrome pieces at the back of the hood and top of the fenders. It runs, and will move by itself, but is obviously not drivable on the street. It is not a numbers matching car – see engine and trans numbers below. It has 3 fender tags and the build sheet. It will need: floor pans, trunk floor, quarter panels (or at least the bottom), piece below the rear window, fuel tank. I have not had it on a lift, so I don’t know the condition of the frame rails. None of the glass is cracked. The VIN matches the door sticker and cowl. I haven’t been able to find the number on the radiator support – I suspect it is under the sticker, but I haven’t removed it.

I have the car for sale locally, and I’m asking $5,000. If you need other photos or info, please post or email.

I am in western NC, near Asheville. Email mledford@verizon.net.

Thanks, Mike

VIN - JH23G1B217439
Transmission - 7G2423  4
Engine - 4M318  11280382

No interest at all??  Price too high? Make me a reasonable offer.

Is it not worth restoring? Let me know.

Thanks, Mike

The car can be restored for sure.  But R/T's bring the biggest dollar and this being a JH code it might not be worth as much as you're asking.  You never know... you might find someone that has to have it!  good luck.
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Someone should put that car back on the street. It is way too nice to part IMO. Good luck with it. I sure would like the find the wide moldings like what is on the hood/fenders  :ylsuper:

Thanks. It seems to have alot of options. I just don't have time to do the restore. I have a 70 RT/SE that my Dad bought me when I graduated in 1973. That's what I want to get on the road again.

darn, only if I had enough money. Don't part it out. Keep it in garage if noone buys it, if you aren't short in cash, looks to be in pretty decent shape. I can buy it propably in about two years  ;D gotta finish the 73 first.

Thanks guys. It does have rust, so it will take a lot of work. It will stay in the garage where it will rust slower - hopefully.

I'd say about 7K would be more realistic.

:bigshades: Wish you were closer.  I live outside of Seattle, Washington.  I have relatives that live outside your city.  Just too far away for me.  Looks pretty nice and it isn't missing alot of items.  It would be a very good car for someone.
