Lots of cars had wheels that will fit. 1/2 ton Dodge trucks and vans also, well into the late seventies at least.

Check the C-Bodies too, most of them had 15" wheels.

A while ago one of the Mopar magazines said that many recent Jeep wheels would fit.  I don't have info on years/models, though

Weird idea....  :thinkerg:

What about foreign cars?  Just another source for cheap rims at the scrap yard.

Some 5 bolt Japanese cars (Honda, Infinity) have a bolt pattern of 114.3mm which translates to 4.5".

I know the honda stuff is FWD but Infinity makes some cool rims for the G35 coupe that look very cool, IMO.

I wonder what the backspace is?

May look cool on an older car? or  :puke: ?  I might get some flack for this one!

Those might work, but many of them have a large backspacing, which may cause problems.

Yeah, I agree with the backspace stuff.  I'm pretty sure the FWD cars like Accords, etc... won't work but I wonder what the backspace on the RWD cars are like.  I'll have to check it out.

I am not sure about all of them, but I know some of them also have a large backspacing.

I've been looking into this myself.  I keep seeing all sorts of complete new takeoffs on Craigslist for very cheap.  I think a lot of them would look great on our cars, and according to this reference,

http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com/Vehicle_Bolt_Pattern_Reference.cfm

the bolt pattern is correct, but the backspacing is WAY off,  You'd need to put some pretty big spacers on them to make them work.  The ones I thought would work best seem to be off chrysler minivans, but the new 300s look like they might work well too.

I saw that article in one of the mags about jeep rims too.  Nice jeep rims don't seem to be as easy to find around here though.

Thanks for the link!

I like the Jeep rims that look like aluminum and have 5 holes like Centerline wheels, or sorta like a Lambo.  One of our members, ccrach?, has a similar style.  I agree that it'll be hard to find a set iin good shape.

Yeah, those are the ones!  :grinyes:

Those look cool IMO.  For the money they're decently priced for what you get if you like that style.

I have like 4 different sets of rims for my car though so I  won't be seeing any new rims until I get rid of a set.

I have more sets of rims than sneakers!  :roflsmiley:
