Tuff Steering Wheel Question

Will any Mopar Tuff steering wheel bolt onto the '73 Cuda spacer?  Anybody got a nice one they want to part with?

Yes they will all bolt on. If you can talk Doug Lepack into restoring a rimblow wheel for me cheap, I will sell the one out of my Swinger!

my $35 Grant wheel was almost a bolt on 



Their new 15" is a bolt on as well and will be availible with that horn button as well. Wheel should be about $120...

I put the similar looking Grant wheel on my Demon a couple of years ago.  It's not bad and the price is right.  Is there a new Grant wheel that looks more like the Tuff?

You just take the Grant center cap off of it, and replace it with a center from a Mopar Tuff-wheel, right?

which one? there are two grants. the $35 13" or the $120 15"...

You said there was a "new" 15" wheel.  Is this different than their std Tuff look-alike wheel?

There is a rib on a grant wheel that isn't in the tuff in the outer foam, you can see it clearly in pics posted above.

The 'standart' tuff look alike is 13 3/4" with a 2 1/4" dish, with painted spokes, you need to drill some holes for the fit, and the spokes dont 'bend back' like a real one does. the new wheel, that is not out yet, is 15" 2 1/2" dish, direct bolt on and has no paint, spokes appear to be right, but as mentioned has the ring in the foam that the original did not have.

the horn button is the same on some truck wheels & the 72-74 E body wheels , it takes a small amount of work to adapt the grant wheel  , you need to drill & tap 3 holes for the horn & drill or cut a slot to locate the wheel on the hub , the 3 holes to actually bolt the wheel on but even thouigh they are not exactly correct the price is right !!

Right, thats what is on my car. The other wheel is the right size and looks pretty darn close. but is another $90 or so more.
