    FINALLY TOOK SOME PICS TODAY.74' 360 4SPD. B5 BLACK INT.TRYING TO DECIDE IF I SHOULD ATTEMPT PAINT WORK MYSELF OR PAY SOMEONE? :dunno:

    Looking good.  What are your plans for the 360?  I have a 360 in my 71 Challenger, and I love it.

    Those pistons look like mine, are they Speed Pro?

    Nice looking project. If you decide to paint the Cuda yourself remember to ask lots of questions or get someone who paints to give you some sound advise. What is the compression ratio of the pistons you put in the 360 as they look like high compression?

    That looks good. :cheers: :2thumbs:  I'd have to agree with 71340RT's suggestion to talk with plenty of painters prior to trying to tackle it yourself. :thumbsup:

    The pistons are Keith Black,10.5 to 1,I put a Hughes cam HE3038AL 0.515 / 0.535,in it.This is the matching #s engine for the car.I had Koffels Place do the machining,balancing.I also put in some Eagle rods and we blueprinted the bearings.I would really like to keep the motor as stock appearing as possible on the outside.

    First off ,thanks to all of you for the nice comments.Its great to have so many other people interested in the same kind of cars.Not that I dont appriciate other makes of cars, but Mopars are it for me.To answer one of the questions,this car is from MI. NNever left the Detroit area.It is a B5/ black interior car though.

I really like how the undercarriage came out.Thanks kingtroll.The undercarriage is a light coat of undercoating.Believe it or not this was done in the late 1970's.Thats how long this car has been apart.Can't say I really like it ,but I think it helped preserve it.Those are the original floors,trunk,everything.Not really sure what to do with the heads.I did the short block a few years ago thinking I wanted to go fast,know I'm leaning more towards stock.(factory intake,thermo-quad,stock exhaust manifolds,etc.)Can,t make up my mind.Tell me about your car kingtroll

    My car is a 1974 Barracuda that originally was a 318 car. It now has a 340 with an after market cam but was already installed when I bought it. I have replaced the headers with hedman hedders and replaced the mufflers with flowmaster mufflers. I just had the transmission rebuilt with a 2500 stall convertor put in as well. I had to have the drivers side window installed and just replaced the alternator. My dash lights have a short somewhere because they 'healed' themselves for about twenty minutes the other day and then went back off . I have to replace carpet, headliner, and repaint the inner door panels. My steering wheel column could also use some touching up. (paint chips). I also want to replace the front floor pans because they have some small holes that have eaten through. The paint shines but has some bubbling in the rear quater panels. The cars original color was green but now its black with a aar rear trunk lid spoiler and 1970 rocker gill panels. The dash pad is good but not installed very well so I have to address that to. I like so many others have many future projects on their car but I am having fun getting things done. I bought the car in May just got it on the road now for about 2 weeks. I have been focusing on the mechanics so I could at least get it on the road and enjoy it a little. My grill has a piece in the top missing and the list goes on. I think all of the mechanics are finally done. (I hope) Keep posts of your progess because I love pics like a lot of this boards members. It's good to post pics for documents sake and it also inspires others to stick to it on the restores. I know I really enjoy seeing fellow members progress and when I see others levels of work to do and you still see them conquer the restoration demons it makes me feel humble with what I have to do.
