A long time guest who decide to now join in
« on: November 16, 2006 - 05:15:29 PM »
Hi, have been reading this for over a year but have just decide to sign up. Yeah I know I took my time but was busy on the Dodge Charger site but that got -can I say old? Think some are on both so I hope this does not get old also. Seems like a cool site without hatefull stuff and name calling just cause you may not agree with another member or miss spell a word or two. I have been working on cars for allmost 30 years now and in to Mopars for over 20 years. I now believe Mopars-well the old Mopars are the best for a street strip car. They are stronger than Ford and GM and as far as I care those are the only car makes I would ever own with a old Mopar my fist pick.  Ford is the worst but It still is made by UAW workers. OH oh I better be carefull or I might upset someone, ha ha. Well I hope I can help out and look forward to this site. Later

Welcome aboard  DF, Seems like most everyone is tolerant of the differences and have a good sense of humor. Must be something agout dealing with e-bodys that keeps us humble. How about some Pics. of your Chargers.

Hate to say this but I don't have a Charger or a Cuda. What I do have is a 1979 St Regis which I have own for 14 years and have no plans on getting rid of it. Yeah I know it has that lean burn and 2.45 gears but you know what, it now has a MSD 7al box, 3.91 gears, headers, a Offy intake, a Holley HP DP 750 and a kick but stereo with amps and subwoofers! I live up in Michigan which has no smog test, any test what so ever and it cost me $37 for plates each year. Its nice and clean, in great shape and soon might have some pictures. I just got a Canon G7 camera-my first digital camera so as soon as I can you see it.

Welcome Dodge freak!

Glad to have you here!  St. Regis, eh?  Those look like nice comfy cars to cruise around in.

I had a car from the era, an '81 5th Ave, about 20 years ago.  Did some fun mods too, Holley 4 barrel, Weiand 2p, weird exhaust. But what do you do with that Lean Burn module?  I wrapped mine in a towel and left it bouncing on the driver's valve cover!  :roflsmiley:  If I unplugged it the car would die!  You can see it in the pic if you look closely.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

I live in the South East part about 20 miles North west of good old Detroit. Its way different over here--really.

No lean Burn and many other stuff went in the trash long ago. I rewired the MSD from the battery and have a Mopar dist. with the lean burn type pickup coil inside. Its one piece, has no vacuum plate-which I think is great. I have a PC card reader for my camera chip so all I need is some pictures, then I try to post them for the heck of it.

Welcome,

Glad you decided to join in.  Having been around a while, I can say that from the beginning, this has been a pretty civil site.  Great fun for those with a sense of humor, not much fun if you have an axe to grind.
