Not sure if there is a thread on this or not, but what is the largest stroke crank will fit in the 440 block without clearancing the block?

4.15 with 2.2 rod journals practically always fits without clearancing, 4.25 with 2.2 usually require a little trimming at the oil pickup & sometimes a couple notches at the bottom of the cylinders...

BTW most 4.15 cranks have 2.375 rod journals & require more trimming then a 4.25 with the 2.2 journals...

Just a side note. It isnt a big deal to notch the block so dont let it deter you from getting the stroker kit you want....

:iagree:  FWIW I'm building a 4.25 stroke 512, seems to fit the block very well & should make gobs of torque...
