yup - you may be on to something there. The orange rust colored inside would suggest that

I'd say some rusty wheels, but that'd be using the redneck standard for the laws of physics if some had 4, while others had 2. :dunno:

For my real answer, it looks like a photo of the trunk lid tensioners/torsion rods from the side, but I don't think they ever used anything past two for those. :dunno:
