Reminds me of an electronic choke control, but the resister on the side seems out of place.

Dagnab it I've had mu hands on that thing in the past year or so but I can't be sure what I was working on..

..Only thing that comes to me is emergency brake cable guide thing...maybe?!?!

Here are a couple of hints. This is a factory part that was bare metal. I had it zinc plated.
It's not a brake or engine part. You would never see it until you did some major surgery.
Don't tear into your 727, 904 or 833 looking for it. It's not in there either.

This is the cleat that connects the floor/defroster control arm to the vent door on a non a/c heater box.
It's you turn to post a part.
