Carb, more specifically where the accelerator pump goes into a Carter/Eddy.

ok lets get this solved.
This part would not be used on A/C cars. Was used with all engines. Is not fuel related.

A note on your hint.  Fan spacers were used on at least some A/C cars; my '71 318 (with A/C) came with the spacer and a (Chrysler) flex fan; it is the original engine and had the original radiator when I got it so I don't think the fan was replaced.  The '70 - '71 parts book also calls out spacers for some models with A/C (P/N 2003059 is called out for all lines (except V/L) with 383 and 440 with A/C).

Here's a couple of hints.

There are two halves to this part. One of the halves mounts inside the car and the other outside the car.

It's not an electrical part.

I've been thinkin it so I'll say it..  exhaust hanger/reinforcement that goes behind & under the back seat.

You know, I don't know if I would go with a part book listing that way. A/C required a max cooling option and that was usually a bigger radiator and a viscous drive fan. :dunno:

My 74 parts car is a 318 without the clutch fan.  It has the spacer and flex fan.
