any opinions on the mopar m1 intake

The dual plane IMO is a waste of money. There are better ones available for less or similar money. Ones like the Performer RPM. The stock intakes are pretty good, so really in the Performer series or M1 dual plane, you are just getting a weight savings over iron. The M1 single plane I've used a bunch, and I recommend it on a lot of builds. A good choice for a smaller plenum single plane is the Holley Street Dominator.

tell me more. i want somthing that will bolt on and it has to have that dash pot (or what ever that thing is) hole in the manifold so that I can bolt that in. i want something that will save weight and give a bit more performance

I have a Weiand #8007 on mine, its a dual plane high rise spred-bore just like the old LD340 Edelbrock. They also make #8022 dual plane for a square bore mount. Good to 5800 rpm in my engine..

I'm sorry I don't know what you mean by this.  :clueless: I second moper's recommendation of the Holley Street Dominator.

i mean the hole right next to the carburetor opening. dont know what it is called, think its for the choke. will all of these other intakes fit under the stock flat hood

which engine first off ?
 the Street dom is a great intake for big blocks , there is NO way a RPM will fit under a stock hood If you want to use an air cleaner

Ahh,

  Gotcha now.  :thumbsup: I have the Holley Street Dominator on my car. It was a flat hood car, until someone put on the T/A scoop. I use a K&N drop-down air-filter, and have about 1/2 inch to spare. Unless you go with a drop-down air-filter, this won't make it.

ok, sorry for the confusion. i have the 383 mag and was hoping to use the dual snorkle factory air cleaner. wasnt sure what would fit under the stock flat hood. please advise

the M1 will work but it i sjust an alum version of the factory intake , Weiand ahs a couple of low dual plane intakes as well & the Holley Street Dom works great If you can find one , they are not available new any more
 the Eddy RPM is never going to fit under a flat hood with a stock air cleaner

I just seen today an add saying the new holley street dom is now again being made and ready to sell. You might call summit. GregZ sent me some tools today and in his add was the intake. He sells them now too.
