When I had my first Barracuda people called me (and it) Barrycuda.

Now they just call me Barry Manalone.

It bothered me at first, then I saw the humor in it when I realized that they were just giving me the barrys.

So, I barryed the hatchet.

Now we all laugh over it when we get together for a barryl of

Barry

Sorry late getting in here, but Congratulations on the upgoming birth of your son, naming is important for the future of a young person, they can so much be heckled in school etc. Kids can be mean in their own way.

I know this is about a son and his name, but should any of you be so blessed to have a new little red haired girl, please consider the name of Sara Elizabeth, she has been my dream all my life, but I just had three rascals called Jeff, Greg, and Ben, I have an adopted daughter, but yeh, she was already named Michelle. And since I'm as "mature" as I am, a possible daughter is just the above, a passing dream. No kidding, sometimes I'll see a lil red haired girl with her parents in a store and my eyes well up...............love lil red heads,.....................bigger ones too  :roflsmiley:

Yeah, I remember not being too thrilled with my name until I got into Junior High School and one of my classmates name was Richard Kisser - I became quite content about my parents choice. I still run into the guy every once in a while and thank him every time that I see him. Its a long running joke between us.

Congratulations!!  We passed on our names to our children for their middle names...luckily we had a boy and a girl so it worked out. :roflsmiley:  My father was determined to name me Hortense!!! Thankfully he was in the Navy and at sea when my mother went into labor and defiantly named me Laura. I believe my life would have been totally different as a women named Hortense!  :smilielol: :smilielol:

My mom was very defiant, but smart.  She named me after my dad's favorite sister. :grinyes:  How could he be mad at that?? :roflsmiley:
