Baby Names!
« on: November 21, 2006 - 10:56:45 PM »
Hey everyone, i'm gonna be a dad in about 10 days and was just spending the last few looking for other names....just in case I found one I liked last minute. After looking for a while I think i'm gonna stick with the name I have.

When I was searching for baby names I was browsing through a forum dedicated soely to baby names etc. I was SHOCKED at the forum. You would not believe how opinionated some of these mothers are and they're throwing around swear words like crazy..lol. I guess I just found it funny since we have a big tough car forum that is completely sensored and this baby forum is like a bunch of sailors chatting.   :roflsmiley:

I think naming your child hemi cuda is perfectly fine, no matter what other mothers say..... :roflsmiley:
Naming a child sounds simple, ha. We went to schools etc to see how popular some names were. We didn't want to have a name that everyone other kid had ( it eliminated Brandon, Tyler-thank goodness, my son has 3 brandons and 4 tylers in his class. Good luck)

Haha, Cameron was one name we liked but my cousin is Cameron, same as Lucas.

I think we're going with Ethan David, David is my name and my middle name is my dads, his is his dads etc....I think it goes well together.

Won't be long I'll keep you posted.  :woohoo:

I have always supported honoring your family members by naming the children after them. My name is a combination of both my grandfathers first names. It made it pretty tough growing up though, but the comic strip had just came out and my parents didn't think that it would be a big deal. Whenever we played cops and robbers I never got to be one of the bad guys. Then after grade school it kinda died down and then they had to come out with a movie. Can you imagine how many times someone has said "Has anybody ever called you **** Tracy, wow never heard that before. Maybe they should have used my grandfather Patrick's name first instead og grandfather Richard.

Haha, thats funny....My name is actually combo of my great grand father and father. I'm told Ethan Crane is a character on a daytime tv show Passions....but I don't think anyone besides old women will make the connection.   :poopoke:

I have the same middle name as my grandmother on my dads side of the family.

Thankfully, her middle name was Dean.

Something like Gertrude as a middle name would have been sooooo  :-[

When I had my first Barracuda people called me (and it) Barrycuda.

Now they just call me Barry Manalone.

It bothered me at first, then I saw the humor in it when I realized that they were just giving me the barrys.

So, I barryed the hatchet.

Now we all laugh over it when we get together for a barryl of
