Totally new to this site, but there looks to be a wealth of knowledge all around, so I will try to keep this short so I can continue reading, but I thought I would say hi and introduce myself.
I kick-started my interest in muscle cars when I was 16 and bought a '68 Camaro for next to nothing. Spent my high school career fixing it up with all my spare time, and drove it as my daily driver all the way through and beyond college. Sweet ride with a 327 and 4-speed. Loved that car. My brother then found a '70 Challenger R/T for $5000 and we fixed it up to fender tag specs. It's a Plum Crazy 383 auto car. Even when I had my Camaro I thought it was an awesome ride. Sadly, my Camaro got stolen, but the good side is that I got a hefty lump sum from the insurance company far beyond what went into the car. With this, I found a '70 'Cuda project.
For almost the last two years I've been working on this car, and am in what I believe to be the final stages of body work (I always keep finding imperfections here and there that piss me off). It's a Lemon Twist 383 4-speed car with rimblow, leather interior, overhead console, leather interior, and rubber bumpers on the front and back. The car had been sitting since 1976 when I bought it about 2 years ago due to the 2nd owner blowing up the original engine, and just being to lazy to lift a finger to fix the car. With limited funds and resources I am trying my best to bring it back, pretty much working from the inside out, while saving interior for last. In the next few days I will try to post some pictures of the progress, and maybe a pic of my bro's Challenger
Anyways, gotta go prep dinner and go for a cruise! Have a happy Thanksgiving!
