71 Challenger Grille Paint Stripping

I have three 71 Challenger grilles lying around.  I'd like to paint one to make it into a "R/T" grille.  But the speckle paint has to go.  I tried brake fluid and that didn't work.  I have air craft paint stripper, but I think that would harm the plastic.  Any other suggestions other then media blasting it?

I would never blast it , try different paint strippers in hidden places on the grille , I doubt a paint stripper , even aircraft , would hurt plastic

did you let the break fluid soak in overnight? You will have to reapply it and let it soak many times to get it to work....but it does work. I did mine that way... you might also try tranny fluid. I would think aircraft or heavy chemical strippers would soften the plastics and make them mushy..

I did let the brake fluid soak over night when it didn't work within an hour of application.  I've got spare grille I'll try some other methods then.  Any other ideas.

Allot of model car guy used castrol super clean, it needs to soak but it does work, Aircraft stripper will soften the plastic pretty quickly...

I wet sanded mine with 600 grit and DX -440 wax and grese remover to get the paint off on my 71.
