1960 mercury comet. it had a 144 I-6 with a 3 on the tree. I swapped the drivetrain and made my own custom rod with a 302, C-4, and 8" rear. i know its still a fomoco product but i miss that car. got it for free and it came with four flat tires and half an engine. had been parked since 72 so you can just imagine the interior and all the nastyness. body was straight though. My dad said that if i built it that i would respect it more and take better care of it. didnt know it then but he sure was right.  :eek2:

First car driven, my parents 1969 Plymouth Custom Suburban, 383-2V.  I still miss that car, and would love to have a '69 - '73 C-body wagon in the fold.

First car bought and owned, my 1971 Challenger, 318-2v.  Currently parked in the garage in somewhat disassembled state.

My first car bought in 1994 was a German 78 Ford Capri mkIII 2.8 V6 in terrible condition. A quick little one, but too much trouble. I wanted at least a six-cylinder engine so in 1995 I had another Capri, 80 mkIII also with a 2.8 V6. Until this date that's the only car giving me a speeding ticket.  :smokin:

I had $500-700 budget looking for mt first car and test drove a few.Almost bought a `72? Dodge Coronet 4dr,blue,318 but really wanted something cooler than a four door.  :puke: I then found a `68 Chevelle SS,blue on blue,Cragars, air shocksoriginally a 396/4 spd but the guy selling it had yanked it and dropped in a 307/2spd Powerglide.I bought it for $500 cuz even though it wasn`t fast it looked cool and gas being expensive  :smilielol: (~30-35cents/gallon) I couldn`t have affored to feed the 396 anyway. It was a decent car but it had it`s share of problems from mickey mouse wiring done by the previuos owner.Ended up selling it a year later for $650 to got to college, dropped out after 1 semester, got a job and bought my second car a `73 Sattelite Sebring Plus,318,a/c,buckets.

It was 1980 and I got a '69 Dodge Charger R/T 4 speed :wow: :burnout:
Love all Mopars especially B and E bodies.  Currently own a '69 Charger touting over 550hp reverse valve train manual shift with a 3:55 posi rear end, Y2 yellow and, YES it is my Daily Driver.
One day an E body will be setting next to her.

wish i stil had my first car,,,68 roadrunner, 383 4 spd, burgundy with white vinyl top and white interior... and yes im still kicking myself now that i see what theyre selling for...  Sold it right after I saw the fence posts and telephone poles going past in slow motion as we were sliding sideways through a curve at around 85 mph. I still remember that night and how scared i was after i realized how lucky i was to make it through without taking any of those posts or poles out. After i sold that one I bought a 73 satelite sebring,, yellow and black.  the a ford van AHH the wild times were upon us :drunk: :drunk: :puke: and now its family life with teenagers,, highschool spots,, and all that goes along with it

1969 Dodge Charger S/E that I bought from my brother who was in the army and couldn't take care of it anymore once he got stationed in El-Peso Texas. Was originally Gold w/Black Vinyl top, stock exhaust and rims. Within six months it was Forest Green w/Black Vinyl top, Hooker Headers, Hush Thrush Exhaust and Cragar SS rims. Can't remember the tire size that I put on it but do remember alot of meat in the back. Oh yeah, covered the package tray with plush tiger skin print - That really added to the sex appeal - It matched my drawers.

My first car was a 70 pontiac lemans sport convertible, bought it when I was 15 and yanked out the 350 and dropped in a 69 400.Since I couldn't get my license for another year or so the road in front of my parents house seemed to get a fresh coat of rubber on the black top quite often.Boy oh boy I really punished that pontiac------HHHHHEEEEEHHHHAAAAA

Man, When you read through this thread you realize how many of us have been car nuts since birth and then to realize that most of us tore the crap out of most of those cars  :banghead: Makes you appreciate guys like Goody that already understand the value of what he has.
