1973 340 complete from intake to oil pan. The engine has been sitting for a few years and will need to be rebuilt. Asking $800.00 located in Illinois

Located in Raymond Illinois. As far as bore i do not know, I bought the engine as is and the previous owner didnt have a clue  :bigsmile:

Chris, that is a cast crank motor, right?  If it is, can you take a picture of the balance weight that is on the torque converter for that motor.  I bought a 340 cast engine and i'm almost sure that the converter he gave me is a 360 converter.

Thanks Terry,  I got this rebuilt 340 and 727 from Ty cheap. He got it from a guy that works for Bickel Race Cars.  I knew right away that this was the wrong converter after seeing the weight on the converter.  My manual shows a 4.22 in-oz off balance and my weight looks more like the 360 butterfly below (19.79 in-oz.)

I bet the guy got rid of it due to a vibration he had no idea how to fix.
