71 Roadrunner is here
« on: November 26, 2006 - 04:58:25 PM »
Just picked up mopar #98...71 Runner, GY3 (citron yella) 383 4 speed bench seat car. Nice driver/cruise nite car, not a show car by any means. I have a few of shall we say "tasteless" modifications to undo.

 :roflsmiley:

Car runs good, needs a tune-up and carb tweaking. older resto showing it's age, but looks nice still after 10 years +.

That spoiler has got to go...i have a correct 71 spoiler to install..of course the holes dont match, but I'll just plug the existing holes and paint em body color for now...anything to rid the car of that hideous growth on the deck lid!

That car is sweet! Nice find. I would love to have one like that, maybe some day. If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost you?

Mike, oh, it's got pedestals...about one inch high...it's a real quality piece

 :puke:

72 hemi, I got the car in a trade deal for my 69 Dart GTS....I figure I allowed $19- 20K in the deal for it. I'll probably spend another $2-3K in parts to get it where I want it for now. If i keep it long enough to decide to redo the body/paint, I'll probably do it myself.

here's a pic of the spoiler.... :eek7:

Nice looking ride. I would love to have a roadrunner but my wife thinks I have enough cars but I'm going to figure out how to pick another mopar yet.

Love the 71's!  Good find.   :2thumbs:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.
